The five-year IPM at IIM Indore costs roughly ₹18–22 lakh in total — about ₹4–4.5 lakh a year for the three BBA-stage years and MBA-stage fees thereafter, plus hostel, mess and one-time charges. IIM Rohtak's IPM runs lower, roughly ₹16–18 lakh across five years. Need-based fee waivers and scholarships exist at both, and education loans are routinely sanctioned against the IIM name.

- Ask specifically whether the quoted annual fee includes hostel and mess — at both IIMs it usually does not.
- The MBA-stage years cost more than the BBA-stage years. Budgeting five years at the year-one figure understates the total by lakhs.
- A foreign exchange term, where offered, is an additional cost and is usually optional.
Scholarships and waivers #
Both IIMs run need-based financial assistance assessed on family income, which can waive a substantial share of tuition. There are also merit awards and external scholarships open to IIM students. Two things worth knowing: assistance is applied for after admission, not during the entrance process, and it is assessed annually rather than granted once for five years.
Is the cost justified? #
That is a placement question, not a fee question. The IPM's advantage is time: you finish an IIM MBA at 23 rather than 25–26, and the five-year cohort places through the same process as the two-year MBA batch. Against that, you commit at 18 to a programme you cannot easily exit mid-way with a standalone qualification.
